#286 France: The Price

#286 reposted 3dec19

I missed a month of updates this time. Baby has required many more doctor’s appointments than expected, and it looks like she might be here early. Good thing I’m still reposting 12 year old comics, or I’d never get another one drawn.

#285- France: The Kid

I frequently will go gaps without posting due to job and other annoyances.

That’s the same kid giving all the clues. He just follows Vindalf around from country to country selling info. How? Why? These are the world building details I can’t be bothered with. Suffice to say that this universe often works on Looney-Tunes physics. In this case, Vindalf was too quick on the uptake and “The Kid” didn’t even have time to change.

#284- The Game is On

Vindalf isn’t smart enough to be bogged down with actual detective work, so he moves very quickly. Also, since he’s a *Main Character* the clues practically jump out at him.

This is one of my favourite ones because it called for a minimalist style which lined up with that I can actually draw.

#278- Bullet Trains

#278 reposted 3jun19

Canada needs to invest in bullet trains. The country is already mostly laid out along the old rail lines, so let’s just upgrade it. The general state of transportation up here is dismal. If I want to take a train from Fredericton (a provincial capital) to Toronto (centre of the universe) I have to start by driving two hours in the wrong direction. Then, the train ride will take 10 hours longer than driving. Then they wonder why ridership is so low.

This is where Jeff from the Minsitry is never heard from again, as the kid character became more fun. BTW, Everyone’s dressed as a stereotype because it’s a pseudo-medieval time and it’s the tourist district. Your photo with “real” samurai: $20. “Authentic” traditional art: $50-$500. Clues about your quest: $40…
